How Actinic Works

Actinic software can be installed on your computer and it's easy-to-use interface allows you to make changes to your web site home page, information pages, shop sections and products from the comfort of your home or office. You can quickly change headings, text, images and prices and then with the click of one button, upload those changes to your web site for all to see.

Actinic's Content tree on the left of pane of the window allows you to see at a glance, all of the pages contained in your Actinic website. Using the + and - buttons you can expand and close each of the pages as you wish. Clicking on an item within each page allows you to edit the details of that item on the right hand side of the window.

In the image below, a Home page item (called a "Fragment") is highlighted to show the information it contains.

Inner page layouts can be changed using a simple drop down list, allowing you to add title, text and images in a variety of positions on the page. Custom Actinic templates can be used here to achieve the look you need.

Actinic has a built in Preview Pane at the bottom of the window which allows you to see the website as it would appear in your browser. This allows you to review the changes you have made to pages before you upload your web site. The image below with the title and text on the home page relates to the data entered into the page editing shown above.

Actinic comes with a set of basic Actinic theme layouts, which you can change to give your pages a different design layout. Below is the same site with a different Theme layout applied. Actinic allows you to enter upto 20,000 products, allowing your customers to shop online 24 hours a day in a secure shopping cart. Each product can have pricing based on chosen options and products can be managed using stock level monitoring. Actinic v7 allows for duplicate products, allowing you to have the product in more than one section of your shop.

All orders download can be manged using Actinic's order tab. This allows for easy viewing of all items ordered, shipping and handling, taxes and payment. Invoices and packing lists can be printed out and reports generated.
